Get your first Bite created, polished, and shared in under 5 minutes. This guide walks you through the three core steps: record, polish, share.
1. Record your screen
DemoBites offers two ways to capture your screen. Both produce a raw recording that you’ll polish in the next step.
Native recorder
Built right into the DemoBites dashboard. Click “New Bite”, choose your screen or window, and start recording. No installs required.
Chrome Extension
Captures mouse interactions (clicks, scrolls) that become animated highlights in your final Bite. Best for product walkthroughs.
Coming soonTip: Keep recordings under 90 seconds. DemoBites is designed for short, focused demos — not full tutorials. If your recording is longer, the platform will help you trim it down.
2. Polish in Bite Studio
Once your recording is uploaded, DemoBites automatically generates a polished version with AI narration, captions, and zoom effects. Open the Bite Studio to fine-tune everything:
AI narration
An AI-generated voiceover script is created from your screen content. Edit the text, swap voices, adjust pacing — all from the studio.
Zoom & crop
Add zoom keyframes to draw attention to specific UI areas. Crop the video to remove browser chrome or desktop clutter.
Captions
Karaoke-style captions are generated automatically. Choose from traditional or highlighted styles. Edit any word directly.
3. Export & share
When you’re happy with the result, hit “Export”. DemoBites renders a production-quality MP4 and gives you multiple sharing options:
- Download the MP4 file directly.
- Share via a hosted DemoBites link — a branded player page with your workspace design.
- Embed the player in your website, help center, or product using a simple snippet.
- Add the Bite to a Hub (collection hub) or Pulse feed (in-app widget).
