Workspaces

A workspace is the top-level container in DemoBites. Everything — Bites, Hubs, Pulse feeds, branding, and billing — belongs to a workspace.

What is a workspace?

Think of a workspace as your team’s project home. It contains all your content, applies consistent branding, and manages who has access. Most teams use a single workspace, but agencies or multi-brand companies may use several.

Content container

All Bites, Hubs, and Pulse feeds live inside a workspace.

Brand identity

Colors, fonts, logo, and favicon are set per workspace.

Team access

Invite teammates to collaborate on content creation.

Billing unit

Each workspace has its own subscription and billing cycle.

Creating a workspace

  1. 1Sign into DemoBites and click the workspace switcher in the top navigation.
  2. 2Click "Create Workspace" and enter a name.
  3. 3A unique workspace slug is generated automatically (e.g., "acme-corp"). This slug appears in URLs and cannot be changed later.
  4. 4Configure your brand settings — or skip this step and do it later.
  5. 5Your workspace starts on the Free tier. Upgrade anytime from the billing page.

Important:The workspace slug is permanent — it’s used in URLs, API references, and content delivery paths. Choose it carefully. You can always change the display name later, but the slug stays the same.

Team members

Invite teammates by email to collaborate on a workspace. Each invited user gets full access to create, edit, and publish content within that workspace.

  • Invitations are sent via email — the recipient signs up or signs in to join.
  • One user can belong to multiple workspaces (e.g., an agency managing several brands).
  • Workspace owners can remove team members at any time.
  • Team member access doesn't affect billing — billing is based on published Bites, not seats.

Workspace settings

The workspace settings page lets you manage:

General

Workspace display name, description, and logo.

Branding

Theme color, typography (heading and body fonts), and favicon.

Custom domain

Map your own domain to serve content from your brand URL.

Team

Invite, manage, and remove team members.

Billing

View current plan, manage subscription, and see usage.

Multiple workspaces

Some teams need more than one workspace. Common scenarios:

  • Agencies managing content for multiple clients — each client gets their own branded workspace.
  • Companies with separate products — each product line has its own workspace with distinct branding.
  • Internal vs. external content — keep customer-facing content separate from internal training.

Use the workspace switcher in the top navigation to switch between workspaces instantly. Each workspace is completely independent — separate content, separate branding, separate billing.

Workspace billing

Billing is per workspace. Each workspace has its own subscription tier and usage limits. This means you can have one workspace on the Free tier and another on a paid plan — they’re completely independent.
