Bite Studio
The Bite Studio is where raw recordings become polished demos. Edit narration, adjust zoom timing, style captions, and preview the final result — all in one place.
Overview
When you open a Bite in the Studio, DemoBites has already done the heavy lifting: an AI-generated narration script, automatic captions, and suggested zoom points are ready for you. Your job is to review and refine.
The Studio is organized around a video player in the center, a timeline at the bottom, and editing panels on the sides. Each panel corresponds to a feature you can tune.
AI narration
DemoBites analyzes your screen recording and generates a voiceover script that describes what’s happening on screen. The narration is synthesized using text-to-speech with 50+ voice options across multiple languages.
Edit the script
Click on any narration segment to edit the text. The AI gives you a starting point — rewrite it to match your tone and messaging.
Choose a voice
Browse 50+ voices organized by language and style. Preview each voice before committing. You can change voices at any time without losing your script.
Adjust pacing
Each narration segment is timed to match the on-screen actions. Drag segment boundaries on the timeline to adjust when each line is spoken.
Multi-language support
Create translations of your narration in additional languages. Viewers can switch languages using a built-in language selector on the player page.
Zoom effects
Zoom keyframes let you draw the viewer’s attention to specific parts of the screen. The camera smoothly pans and zooms to follow the action, making even complex UIs easy to follow.
- Add zoom points on the timeline by clicking "Add Zoom" or using the keyboard shortcut.
- Drag the zoom region on the video preview to set the focal area.
- Adjust zoom level with the scale slider — from subtle 1.5x to dramatic 3x magnification.
- Transitions between zoom points are automatically smoothed with easing curves.
- Delete or reorder zoom points by dragging them on the timeline track.
Captions
Captions are generated automatically from the narration text. DemoBites supports karaoke-style highlighting where each word lights up as it’s spoken — making the video more engaging and accessible.
Caption styles
Choose between traditional subtitles (full sentence shown at once) and karaoke mode (word-by-word highlighting). Both styles are generated automatically.
Edit text
Click any caption to edit its text directly. The timing adjusts automatically to maintain sync with the narration.
Positioning
Captions appear at the bottom of the video by default. Adjust the vertical position and font size in the caption settings panel.
Trim & crop
Trim
Remove dead time from the beginning and end of your recording. Drag the trim handles on the timeline to set the start and end points.
Crop
Focus on the relevant part of the screen. Crop out browser chrome, taskbars, or other UI elements you don’t want in the final video.
Background music
Add subtle background music to give your Bite a polished, professional feel. Choose from a library of royalty-free tracks, and adjust the volume so it sits comfortably behind the narration. The music fades in and out automatically at the Bite boundaries.
Pronunciation dictionary
If the AI mispronounces your product name, technical terms, or acronyms, add them to the pronunciation dictionary. Each entry maps a word to its phonetic spelling (e.g., “kubectl” → “koob-control”). The dictionary is workspace-wide, so every Bite in the workspace benefits.
Preview & iterate
Use the built-in player to preview your Bite at any point. Changes to narration, zoom, and captions are reflected in the preview immediately — no need to export first.
When you’re happy with the result, proceed to export. You can always come back to the Studio and make further edits — re-exporting creates a new version without affecting anything already shared.
